Water globes and snow globes are not guaranteed to be free of air bubbles. During production, minicule air bubbles may be embedded in the inside figurine at the time water was introduced. Over time with handling, these air bubbles release from the figurine and form a singular air bubble visible at the top of the globe.

The Wizard of Oz 45/65/100MM Triple Water Globe

This fascinating musical water globe features three water globes anchored by the Emerald City. One globe (65mm) near the base of figurine contains the witch's castle, while a second globe (100mm) contains Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, and the Tin Man strolling down the Yellow Brick Road, all the while in a third globe (45mm) contains the Wicked Witch on her broom as she soars over the friends on the journey.
